Upgrade to Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin: issues fixed on my laptop

I upgraded, 4 days ago,  my laptop (Dell Precision M6600 with Intel Core i7 and 500 Gbytes SSD disk) to the last LTS Ubuntu release: 12.04 Precise Pangolin 64 bits. I was until then running Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot

Until now, I had only 2 issues to fix:
  • the NVidia optimzed proprietary driver that I was using had stability issues: screen either got black or fully striped after some time. I reverted to standard Linux screen drivers and everything got stable again
  • Eclipse would not start and gave error message below: I follow the advice given on StackOverflow and used the command
ln -s /usr/lib/jni/libswt-* ~/.swt/lib/linux/x86_64/

It gave Eclipse access back to those libraries and my favorite IDE works fine again.
I'll keep updating this post if more issues arise

Hope this helps somebody !
